We want to share from now on the experiences of 2 of our clients who are more than just clients, they became our friends. They wanted to share their experiences and have titled their blog “Aussie travel duo” I hope you like it like us!!!

Gidday Mates, welcome to our blog … AUSSIE TRAVEL DUO
So let’s start with introductions and a little background. My name is Lisa, I’m New Zealand born and lived in Australia for over 30 years where I met my Australian born husband Paul. We lived in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane over that time and found that Brisbane was definitely our favorite for the weather and beaches. We worked extensively in the corporate world, Paul in Information Technology and Oil and Gas, myself in Sales and Marketing. We worked for major organizations, managed various sized teams and businesses as we climbed the ladder and did what we all do in the daily grind … but all that changed.
In 2012 we opened our home to international students studying in Australia through the homestay network. We had many wonderful students at various times from China, Japan, Korea, Vietnam and South America. We wanted to not just be a place for students to live, but to show them our amazing country and the way we live. We hoped they’d return home, having had a positive experience and tell all their family and friends how incredible Australia is.
Four of our Colombian students asked us to come to their country so they could return the favour, so we planned a holiday. In 2014 we headed to South America for six weeks and instantly fell in love. On returning to Australia we made a new grand plan … What if we could live and travel South America for two years AND if we loved it, could we stay and live there. Our plan involved paying off our home and saving enough money to live and travel with perhaps a little excess to buy a property there later.
Fast forward to 2017 and here we are!!! We wanted to share our travel experiences for those of you interested in South America and to dispel many of the myths about this incredible continent and the countries and towns that make it.
In this blog we’ll also share hints, tips and advice that might help save you time and money but importantly maximize your travel experience.

Empecemos con las presentaciones y un poco de nuestra historia. Mi nombre es Lisa, nací en Nueva Zelanda y viví en Australia durante más de 30 años donde conocí a mi esposo nacido en Australia, Paul. Durante ese tiempo vivimos en Sydney, Melbourne y Brisbane y descubrimos que Brisbane era definitivamente nuestro lugar favorito por el clima y las playas. Trabajamos extensamente en el mundo corporativo, Paul en Tecnología de la Información, Petróleo y Gas, yo en ventas y marketing. Trabajamos para organizaciones importantes, gestionamos equipos y empresas de varios tamaños a medida que subíamos la escalera e hicimos lo que todos hacemos en la rutina diaria... pero todo eso cambió.
En 2012 abrimos nuestra casa a estudiantes internacionales que iban a Australia a través de la red de casas de familia. Tuvimos muchos maravillosos estudiantes en diferentes momentos, eran de China, Japón, Corea, Vietnam y América del Sur. No queríamos ser solo un lugar para que los estudiantes vivieran, sino mostrarles nuestro increíble país y la forma en que vivimos. Esperábamos que regresaran a casa, teniendo una experiencia positiva y les dijeran a todos sus familiares y amigos lo increíble que es Australia.
Cuatro de nuestros estudiantes colombianos nos pidieron que viniéramos a su país para que pudieran devolver el favor, así que planeamos unas vacaciones. En 2014 nos dirigimos a Sudamérica durante seis semanas y nos enamoramos al instante. Al regresar a Australia hicimos un nuevo plan... ¿Qué pasaría si pudiéramos vivir y viajar a América del Sur por dos años? Y si nos gusta, ¿podríamos quedarnos y vivir allí? Nuestro plan consistía en pagar nuestro hogar y ahorrar suficiente dinero para vivir y viajar con tal vez un pequeño exceso para comprar una propiedad allí más adelante.
Ahora es 2017 y aquí estamos!!! Y queremos compartir nuestras experiencias de viaje para los interesados en viajar a América del Sur y acabar muchos de los mitos sobre este increíble continente, los países y ciudades que lo conforman.
En este blog también compartiremos tips, consejos y sugerencias que podrían ayudarlo a ahorrar tiempo y dinero, pero que, lo que es más importante, maximizará su experiencia de viaje.
